Fish Makhaani is a traditional Indian dish made with fish and a rich, creamy tomato-based sauce. Here is a basic recipe:
Ingredients:
1 lb fish (any white
fish works well)
2 cups tomatoes,
chopped
1 cup heavy cream
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp ginger paste
2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chili powder
Salt and pepper to
taste
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp cumin seeds
2-3 green chilies, slit
1/4 cup fresh cilantro,
chopped
Instructions:
Heat oil and butter in
a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
Add onions and sauté
until golden brown. Add garlic and ginger paste and sauté for a minute.
Add tomatoes, cumin
powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the
tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Add cream and bring to
a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the fish and green
chilies, and cook until the fish is cooked through.
Garnish with cilantro
and serve with rice or naan.

Ingredients:

4 fish fillets (any
type of firm-fleshed fish, such as cod, haddock, or tilapia)

1 cup all-purpose
flour

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic
powder

2 large eggs,
beaten
7)
1 cup breadcrumbs
or panko

Vegetable oil for
frying
Instructions:

Rinse the fish
fillets and pat dry with paper towels.

In a shallow dish,
mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

In another shallow
dish, beat the eggs.

In a third shallow
dish, place the breadcrumbs.

Coat each fish
fillet in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

Dip each floured
fillet in the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.

Finally, coat each
fillet in the breadcrumbs, pressing the crumbs onto both sides.

Heat about 1 inch
of vegetable oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
