Potatoes Bombs

 ▪️𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐎𝐌𝐁𝐒▪️


Today I’m sharing my another family’s ; especially my brother’s favourite Iftar recipe : Potato Bombs. Our Iftar table is incomplete without these bombs.


This is very basic recipe and different families have their own names and variations. We made these bombs with a combination of spices and green masala.


Let’s jump to the recipe 


𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃

For potatoes: 

-Potatoes 2 large (boil and mash)

-Onion 1 small (finely chopped)

-Coriander 1/2 cup (finely chopped)

-Green chilli 2 (finely chopped)

-Lemon juice 1 Tbsp 

-Chilli flakes 1 Tsp 

-Chilli powder 1/2 Tsp 

-Cumin seeds 1 Tsp (roasted & crushed) 

-Chaat masala 1 Tbsp 

-Salt to taste 

-Cooking oil for frying 


For Batter 

-Gram flour 1 cup 

-Chilli powder 1/2 Tsp 

-Cumin seeds 1 Tsp 

-Ajwain/ Carom seeds 1/2 Tsp 

-Water 1/2 cup or as required

-Salt to taste 


𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐃

-Add all mentioned potato ingredients except oil in boiled and mashed potatoes. 

-Make a small balls and keep it in a side

-Now take gram flour , mix all batter ingredients, add water gradually to make a thick paste

-Heat oil in a frying pan

-Coat potato balls well with batter and deep fry for 6/8 minutes or until turns golden 


Your super delicious Potato Bombs are ready.
