Achaar Gosht Recipe

 

𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐀𝐑 𝐆𝐎𝐒𝐇𝐓 Recipe



Today I’m sharing my homemade Achaar Gosht recipe with all my own spices.

Achaar gosht has a spicy and sour taste. It is prepared when meat is cooked with tomatoes, yogurt, and all pickle spices like fennel seeds, cumin seeds, and fenugreek seeds. Green chili and red chili are added and meat is cooked according to its type until it’s tenderized properly. 


𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃

  • -Lamb meat 1/2 kg (you can use beef or chicken)
  • -Ginger garlic paste 2 Tbsp 
  • -Yogurt 1 cup (separate 1 Tbsp for chillies)
  • -Tomatoes 8 (boil and blend 6 to make a purée and finely chopped remaining 2)
  • -Green chillies 5/6
  • -Chilli powder 1 Tbsp 
  • -Chilli flakes 1 Tsp 
  • -Black pepper 1 Tsp 
  • -Coriander powder 1 Tbsp 
  • -Coriander seeds 1 Tbsp (crushed)
  • -Cumin seeds 1 Tbsp (roasted)
  • -Fennel seeds 1 Tbsp 
  • -Nigella seeds 1 Tbsp 
  • -Fenugreek seeds 1 Tsp 
  • -Salt to taste
  • -Oil 4 Tbsp 

  • 𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐃
  • -Mix all mentioned dry spices except fenugreek seeds. 
  • -Separate 2 Tbsp of prepared spices, add Tbsp of yogurt, mix well to make a paste
  • -Now remove seeds for green chillies and stuff prepared mixture 
  • -In a pot add oil, meat and fry for 4/5 minutes 
  • -Add ginger garlic paste and fry for another 2/3 minutes 
  • -Now add prepared spices along with fenugreek seeds and fry well
  • -Add yogurt, tomato purée and fry well for another 3/4 minutes 
  • -Add 1/2 cup of warm water 
  • -Cover & cook for 30 minutes or until meat gets completely tender 
  • -Remove lid and add chopped tomatoes and mix well
  • -Add stuffed chillies , you can add more water or reduce water according to your taste 
  • -Cover and cook for 5 more minutes on a low flame 


Achaar Gosht is ready 

Enjoy with Paratha or chapati in your Sahoor
