Turkish Style Eggs

 5 ingredient Turkish eggs (Called Çılbır in Turkish /child-birth/) is a simple, delicious savory breakfast dish of flawlessly poached eggs served with scrumptious garlicky yogurt, and completed with heat spicy butter. The fine way to devour this is with fresh, gently toasted chunky bread to dip into the egg and yogurt. Make positive it’s no longer too toasted so you can take in the egg and yogurt…yes, our mouths are watering simply writing this!


Ingredients

1.     30 ml (2 Tbsp.) butter
 
2.     1-2 garlic cloves, chopped finely
 
3.     Zest and juice of 1 lemon
 
4.     250 ml (1 cup) double-thick yogurt
 
5.     4 eggs, poached
 
6.     Chili salt and black pepper, to taste
 
7.     2-4 chunky slices of rustic bread, toasted (*See notes for recommendations)
 

Directions

1)   Heat a frying pan on medium warm and add the butter and garlic. Allow the garlic to prepare dinner and the butter to brown slightly. Set apart to barely cool.

 

2)   Combine the lemon zest and juice with the yogurt and season with chili salt and black pepper. Place this yogurt mixture in a shallow bowl and pinnacle with the poached eggs.

 

3)   Finish the dish by way of drizzling the garlic butter over the eggs and yogurt.

 

4)   Serve with toast.
